The masters of English degree at Weber State University in Utah “offers traditional graduate students and working adults advanced preparation in the study of English language and literature,” according to WSU’s website. The accredited program was established in 2006.

The Weber State MA English program is flexible. It is designed for students who have a full-time job. Many evening and summer classes are offered at the WSU campuses in Ogden and Layton, Utah.
Program Director Dr. Merlin Cheney, who is quoted in the college newspaper the Signpost, explains, "What we are doing is filling a niche. The University of Utah offers no graduate studies in English at night or in the summer, and summer is a really popular time for graduate students because we have a big group of people who are teaching."
