This year the people in charge of scheduling in both Major League Baseball and the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament got everything picture perfect; end one season on the same day which the other begins. It’s very doubtful that this was a strategic move on the part of either one, however no one could have imagined it work out as picture perfect for everyone involved.

On the same day and night which the boys of summer kicked off their annual marathon of a season, arguably one of the greatest college basketball players that we’ve seen over the past thirty years culminated his outstanding career with a national championship. April 6, 2009 will go down as a very memorable day in sports history due to the fact that fans across the country were all witness to watching the a fresh new start along with the perfect ending.
