The University of Memphis Tigers had a fine season under first-year head coach Josh Pastner. Though they did not win Conference USA - which they did multiple times under then coach John Calipari - the Tigers still finished 24-10 overall, with an early round loss to the Ole Miss Rebels in the N.I.T. Tournament to close out the year. Pastner, who proved he can coach, now has the top-ranked recruiting class in the nation and things are looking up for the Memphis Tigers.

Memphis loses Willie Kemp and Doneal Mack to Graduation, Elliot Williams to the NBA

Replacing seniors Willie Kemp and Doneal will be Pastner’s first important task heading into the 2010-11 college basketball season. While both players’ scoring fluctuated this past season, they provided a sense of leadership that was at times lacking during the Calipari years. Wesley Witherspoon and Roburt Sallie will be expected to shoulder the load of the scoring in 2010-11.
